Islampur Union Council is one of the most beautiful valleys of Swat district. It is bounded by Saidu Sharif city in North-West, Jambeel valley in the East, Bunair District in South and Qambar UC in the West. It is located between latitude  34°37΄-34°43΄N and longitude 72°19΄ -72°26΄ E. It is situated 7 Km away to the South- East from the district’s capital, Saidu Sharif.  The area is surrounded by mountains from all side with beautiful valleys and hamlets. There are approximately 5000 households with 40,000 populations residing in the area. Agriculture, Weaving, Government Jobs, Overseas jobs, Daily wages, Livestock rearing and milking are the major livelihood sources of the households. Pushtu is the only language and medium of communication for all the population.
